Care Highway Humanitarian Organisation – Care Highway was set up in 1988 by Christopher Morrison, a man with a compassionate heart and zeal to reach out and make a real difference to the lives of many people around the world, dealt hard cards to play in life. Ravi Music College is a charitable organisation and music school that was set up by Mutlashi, a renown Indian Poet, Composer and Guru of Indian Music. The School's aim is to promote excellence in the teaching of Indian Classical Music with the aim to keep alive the Classical Traditions of Indian Music and the Indian Arts and Folklore in Music in the rapidly westernising world. Many of the students have reached global platforms and worked with fusion bands and artists from the East and the West, have preformed solo globally and composed music for Indian film scores. |

Darius Goes West |
|
|
Darius Goes West – this was a project that touched Nav’s heart in the year 2005. Many times you hear about charities and events organised by adults to help others. This was a true example of humanity when a group of youngsters decided to raise awareness about a musculoskeletal disorder known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), the most common fatal genetic disorder to affect children around the world. It is caused by the absence of a protein that helps keep muscle cells in tact. It eventually affects all voluntary muscles, as well as the heart and breathing muscles. It is 100% fatal. The group of youngsters then set about making the dream of their 16yr old friend Darius who suffers with DMD in a campaign to raise awareness about the condition and raise funds to take Darius on a sightseeing tour of the USA going from the East coast to the West. The project was a great success. |
